Strong 8K through the television's own app store

Samsung, LG and Android TV sets need no stick and no sideload: an Xtream-capable player installed on the set itself signs in with the three fields from your order email. Each brand gets its own short list below.

Prepare

Before you pick up the TV remote

Have these ready:

  • Your Strong 8K details: server host, username and password from the order email, one set per device slot. A television and a phone streaming at the same time need two slots.
  • A supported set: Samsung Tizen or LG webOS televisions from 2017 onwards, or Android TV on Android 5.0 or later. A television outside that range is a job for the Fire Stick guide instead.
  • A connection of 25 Mbps or more per 4K stream: wired where the television allows it.

Samsung

Samsung Tizen televisions

About 6 minutes on a Samsung set from 2017 or later:

  1. Open the Samsung app store from the Smart Hub. Search for an IPTV player that accepts Xtream Codes; several are listed, and any that offers an Xtream or M3U login will carry your Strong 8K line.
  2. Install the player and open its login screen. Choose the Xtream Codes option when it offers a choice.
  3. Type the three fields from your Strong 8K email. Server host, username and password, exactly as written; a stray space is the typo to look for.
  4. Leave the player to build its channel list. The programme guide is assembled with it over a couple of minutes; from then on the region groups you picked at checkout head the list.

LG

LG webOS televisions

The same idea on LG, through the LG Content Store:

  1. Open the LG Content Store from the home bar. Search for an IPTV player with Xtream Codes support and install it.
  2. Start the player and pick the Xtream login. Some players ask for a playlist name first; any name will do.
  3. Enter your Strong 8K server host, username and password. Save, and let the list load.
  4. Open a channel from your region groups. They sit at the top because of the order you picked at checkout; ask support to put another region first and the change costs nothing.

Android TV

Android TV and Google TV sets

On Android TV the official Strong 8K APK is the same file a Fire Stick uses, and Google Play on the set may offer the listing as well; allow about 4 minutes:

  1. Install the official app. Search Google Play on the television for Strong 8K and install the listing if it is offered for your set; otherwise sideload Strong8Kturbo.apk with the Downloader app and code 5322729, exactly as on a Fire TV Stick.
  2. Sign in with your Xtream details. Server host, username and password from the order email.
  3. Let the first launch finish. The channel list and programme guide build in a couple of minutes, then you are watching.

Fixes

Smart TV fixes

If the first attempt stalls:

  • The store has no Xtream player: check the model year. Sets made before 2017 fall outside the stated support; for those, a Fire TV Stick running the official Strong 8K app is the route we document.
  • Login accepted, no picture: another device may be streaming on the same slot. One device slot, one stream at a time.
  • Buffering only in the evening: test the television's connection against 25 Mbps per 4K stream; if the line is healthy, ask support to switch the server host.
  • Programme guide blank: the guide is delivered through the Xtream login and needs a couple of minutes on the first run, so prefer Xtream Codes over a plain M3U link when the player offers both.

Smart TV questions

My Samsung is from 2016. Will it work?

Stated support begins with the 2017 model year for Samsung Tizen and LG webOS. For a 2016 set, we point you to a Fire TV Stick running the official Strong 8K app instead; its guide takes about 5 minutes from start to first channel.

Do I use the Strong 8K app on a Samsung or LG set?

No. On Samsung Tizen and LG webOS you use an Xtream-capable player from the television's own store and enter your Strong 8K login in it. The official Strong 8K app covers Android, Fire TV, Windows, iPhone and iPad.

Does signing in on the television log my phone out?

No; both stay signed in. What one device slot will not do is play two streams at once, so if the television and the phone are both watching, the second needs its own slot with its own login. Installing the player on both costs nothing.

Do I need a new login if I move the player to another TV?

No. Your server host, username and password belong to the device slot, not to one television. Sign out on the old set, sign in on the new one, and the same line carries on.
