Fire TV Stick: the 5-minute Strong 8K install

What you need on the sofa
Three things, and all of them are probably already within reach:
- Your Strong 8K email: it holds the server host, username and password for each device slot you bought. One slot streams once at a time, so a second Fire Stick watching simultaneously needs its own slot.
- A Fire TV Stick online: signed in to Amazon and connected to the internet; a wired adapter or a strong Wi-Fi signal helps 4K streams, which want 25 Mbps or more each.
- The remote and about 5 minutes: the whole install runs from the TV, no computer involved.
Install
Installing the Strong 8K app
Follow the five steps in order; none of them takes more than a minute or two.
- Turn on unknown-source installs. Open Settings from the home screen, choose My Fire TV, then Developer options, and switch on the permission that lets apps from outside the appstore install. If Developer options is missing, open About and select the device name repeatedly until it appears.
- Add the Downloader helper to the stick. Search the Amazon appstore for Downloader, install it and open it once so it can ask for its storage permission.
- Key in 5322729 and start the download. In Downloader's address box enter the code 5322729. It fetches Strong8Kturbo.apk, the official Strong 8K app; when the download finishes choose Install, then Open.
- Copy the host, username and password from your email into the app. Open Strong 8K and type the server host, username and password exactly as the email shows them. MAG details do not apply here; a Fire Stick always uses the Xtream login.
- Give the first launch a couple of minutes. The app builds the channel list and programme guide on its first run. Once the groups appear, pick a channel; the region groups you chose at checkout sit at the top of the list.
Second television in the house? Install the app there as well, it costs nothing, and buy a second device slot only if both will play at the same time.
Fixes
When the Fire Stick misbehaves
Four things account for most first-day trouble:
- Downloader says the file cannot be installed: unknown-source installs are still off. Go back to Developer options, confirm the permission is on, then enter the code again.
- Login rejected: check for a space copied before or after the username, and make sure nobody else is streaming on that slot at the same moment. One slot, one stream.
- Stutter in the evening: run a speed test on the stick itself and compare with 25 Mbps per 4K stream; if the line is fine, ask support to switch the server host.
- Empty guide: wait out the first build, then restart the app; the guide arrives with the Xtream login and fills in over a couple of minutes.

Fire TV Stick questions
Do I need a computer or phone for any part of the Fire Stick install?
No. The remote does the whole job: unknown sources in Settings, Downloader from the Amazon appstore, the code 5322729, then the three login fields. The code fetches the official APK from strong8k.watch; no other code belongs to Strong 8K. Your phone is only useful for reading the order email while you type.
I own two Fire Sticks. Do I pay twice?
Only if both will stream at the same time. Install the app on both for nothing; one device slot plays one stream at a time, so simultaneous viewing on both needs a second slot with its own login at the full plan price.
Do I order MAG or Xtream / M3U for a stick?
Xtream Codes. Choose the Xtream / M3U delivery when ordering; the MAG portal option is only for MAG and Formuler set-top boxes with a MAC address.
Can I put the APK on an Android TV box the same way?
Yes. Android TV boxes and the Nvidia Shield take the same Strong8Kturbo.apk through Downloader or a browser; if Google Play on the box offers the Strong 8K listing, that works too.
